Hi, my name is Maida. I expected to be an activist for the vegan life_style_ when I retired, but something came up and I changed direction. I am still vegan, but my area of activism is working to get pets allowed in condos. After fighting to keep my two rescued kitties in my condo, I decided to work on this terrible problem in south Florida where so very many animals get put down because there is nowhere to place them, while many people in condos would love to have them.

The organization I created, Citizens for Pets in Condos, is a 501-c3 tax exempt private operating foundation dedicated to increasing acceptance of companion animals in condos and other types of association-run housing. We educate the public about the health benefits of having animal companions and advocate for responsible pet ownership/guardianship. Our motto: "creating a win-win situation for both people & pets."
